Our pre-hiring program

Systematic pre-hiring program

Our pre-hiring program is a succession of possibilities for you to interact with Systematic while you are still a student. This allows you to understand what kind of company we are, how we work, what kind of tasks you would meet in your work, but it is also a great possibility for you to learn from our bright and talented colleagues. Development is important for us and this starts already before you have your first full-time job.

We believe that a constant focus on acquiring new knowledge ensures growth and the ability to move forward. During the year, you have the opportunity to come to our headquarters in Aarhus on a company visit. Systematic welcomes a number of interns as a part of our staff each semester and you can even begin your career during your studies and become a student assistant with us. We also partner up with students from a wide range of higher educational institutions, completing their final projects.

We get a lot of great questions about our internships, student positions and thesis partnerships. To help you find what you are looking for, we have gathered some questions and answer for you below.

Can I write my thesis/final project in cooperation with Systematic?

Yes. Systematic collaborates with students engaged in a wide range of educational courses. However, the opportunities are limited to students writing master thesis or final project with a scope corresponding 15 or more ECTS points.

When writing your thesis in collaboration with Systematic, you will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement that covers anything you get to know about Systematic during the process.

What can Systematic offer me?

We provide you with project supervision while you are writing the paper.

Via your Systematic contact person, you will also have the chance to establish contacts with our in-house technical experts, domain experts and sometimes even Systematic customers.

Will I have rights to my project when I will have finished it?

Yes and no. When you work with Systematic on a final project, you retain the right to publish it. You are also free to take employment at any other company – also a competitor to Systematic.

However, Systematic reserves the right to carry on with the project without providing you with financial compensation.

Does Systematic hire interns?

Yes. Each semester, we take on several engineering students, computer science students and user experience interns. Furthermore, we regularly take on interns in our administrative departments, primarily in our Marketing & Communication or People & Culture department.

What kind of tasks will I be carrying out as intern?

We strive to ensure that our interns participate in the day-to-day work at Systematic on equal terms with other staff members. Consequently, you will be carrying out the same tasks as all other staff members with similar jobs – but of course, we match our expectations regarding your capabilities and performance to your level of training and experience.

Will I be posted at one of Systematic's offices abroad during my time as an intern?

No. A trip to one of our offices outside of Denmark may take place if it makes sense in relation to a concrete task, but it is not an established part of the internship.

What are the working hours?

In Systematic, the working hours follow the so-called flexible time rules. This means that normally all staff members are at work from 9:00 to 15:00, Friday 9:00 to 14:00. You manage the rest of your time yourself.

However, all employees in Systematic are part of a team, so it makes good sense to make sure you are at work when your colleagues are working as well.

Can I get a job as a student assistant after I finish my internship?

Maybe. If you excel in your internship period, we see future potential in you and we often hire interns as student assistants.

Can I get a letter of recommendation when I have finished my internship?

No, you cannot expect a letter of reference from us, but we are always happy to write a letter confirming that you have worked here. You are welcome to use Systematic as a reference.

Does Systematic have a graduate program?

Yes, we have a student programme which is tailored to receive you as a student and prime you for accomplishing your tasks well.

How do I apply for an internship?

If you are responding to a specific internship position, please respond via the particular job ad. If you would like to send an unsolicited application, you can apply by sending an e-mail.

What should my application contain?

Upload a short CV, your grade sheet and your application.

In your application, consider the following:

  • Why would you like to be an intern in Systematic?
  • In what areas would you like more experience?
  • What period of time should your internship cover?
  • What is your field of study, and how far are you in your studies?

Does Systematic hire student assistants?

Yes, and many of our student assistants started at Systematic as interns or by writing a project in cooperation with us. If we seek student assistants, the available positions will be posted on our job site.

Can I get a full time job when I graduate after being a student assistant?

Maybe. If you excel in your position as a student assistant, we see future potential in you and we often hire our student assistants when they finish their studies.
